google search engine algorithm 300x199 Google launches its fight for cleaning the internetSearch giant Google has announced the change in its search algorithm to clear the search results page from the clogging of sites. This change has been announced in response to recent criticism that the Internet giant shows irrelevant search results on its pages.

Most of this criticism has been linked to the emergence of new forms of ‘junk’ sites (which use Black-hat SEO and contain huge number of keywords to trick Google’s algorithm and get a higher ranking in the 4fb4758428a7a) and ‘content-farms’ replacing the websites, that create original material.

Last week, Matt Cutts, Google’s Principal Engineer and head of company’s anti-spam efforts, on his official blog while responding to the criticism wrote that the Internet giant plans to make several changes in its algorithm to reduce the level of spam in search results. He stressed that the new algorithm will also affected the sites that copy content from other resources.

Last Friday, Cutts on his personal blog said that these changes are already being implemented. He explained that the measures have changed about 2 percent of all queries in some way and about half percent of results have changed quite noticeably. According to Cutts, sites with original content will get higher priority in search results than the resources that copy content.
