Microsoft has announced the completion of the development of Windows Phone 7 (4fba060115b9f), the latest version of mobile platforms as of today. Smartphone manufacturers are already installing new mobile ‘seven series’ on their devices which means that wp7 will be available to users in its present form.
Now wp7 is at the stage of integration with the hardware and software equipment partners, wrote director of development Terry Myerson in his blog.
“Windows Phone 7 is the most thoroughly tested mobile platform Microsoft has ever released,” Microsoft wrote in a blog post. “We had nearly ten thousand devices running automated tests daily, over a half million hours of active self-hosting use, over three and a half million hours of stress test passes, and eight and a half million hours of fully automated test passes. We’ve had thousands of independent software vendors and early adopters testing our software and giving us great feedback. We are ready.”
He added that when compared with the previously designed mobile operating system, users can now add filters for friends on Facebook. In addition, there is now the possibility for fast messaging on the personal pages of the popular social networking site.
It is expected that the official release of the new mobile OS will be held in October for Europe and in November for the U.S. Windows Phone 7 was first introduced in early 2010. The new mobile ‘Seven’, in particular, focuses on the Internet and social services. Also Smartphone platform wp7 will introduce a special online store application (similar to the App Store from Apple and Google Android Market).
