signs of depression that resembles psychosis like feeling paranoid, having false beliefs about possessing superhuman powers or hearing voices are much harder to treat using antidepressants according to a study published in the online version of Archives of General Psychiatry on December 6.
The study also seems to debunk the accepted notion that signs of depression which are tougher to treat are actually symptoms of bipolar disorder. Researchers failed to find a link between bipolar disorder and resistance to treatment in 4,041 people suffering from depression. The patient cohort was given citalopram (Celexa) and three successively-advancing treatments if patients do not respond well to a simpler treatment.
Those who reported at least one sign of psychosis during a period of six months did not respond well to antidepressants. Another symptom, irritability, also resulted to poor results. However, other symptoms of bipolar disorder such as manic episodes or a positive family history were not tied with treatment response to antidepressants. The study authors concluded that signs of depression that cannot be eased by antidepressants are not necessarily symptoms of undiagnosed bipolar disorder.
In my view : TAKING A BATH day-to day
1. As we are all aware , TAKING A BATH day-to day is best for improving resistance to depression as “our body is also taking a breath”.
I firmly believe all disease are due to our broken immunity.
2. After eating too much, we might feel so depressed.
We are living in an age of Automation , naturally so the excess diet is more likely to work against wellness since the residues lingering in our body should act as a hot bed for all forms of germs, bacteria, virus and the likes, which I think spread to a variety of diseases including diabetes, depression & mental diseases & beyond.
3. Sunlight & Fruits might make us positive and optimistic.
4. Preventable depression might turn into dementia as we enter golden age.
