The queen of England’s budget last year was a good sum of money, which is $62.8 million. However, the Buckingham Palace made an announcement last Monday that her budget went down.

The monarch who rules over 52 countries has a budget that went down by a staggering $5 million. This is because her annual budget for 2010 came down to $57.8 million. This drop in the annual budget will render every citizen of England to pay around 94 cents yearly so as for the royal household to be sustained.

According to the financial statement for the household, Queen Elizabeth II took less charter flights this year causing the drop in her annual spending. Also, she had sold her old helicopter so that she could reimburse a significantly fair amount of money from the government. Furthermore, her annual spending has dropped by 17 percent since 2001, as added by the palace.

But despite this, Queen Elizabeth II is still among one of the wealthiest persons in the United Kingdom, according to The Sunday Times newspaper’s annual rich list published in April. Queen Elizabeth has a wealth that tantamount to $446 million. This lands her a spot on the list with ranking of the 245th richest person.

Queen Elizabeth’s budget is exclusive of the cost of security. This security would include the army, the police, and other private security agencies. This is because the government pays for that cost with along just compensation that the queen should surrender any income for royal holdings.

But with all this financial talk, finally, Queen Elizabeth is about to talk to the public as the palace announced that Queen Elizabeth II would be giving a speech at the U.N. She is expected to talk about General Assembly next Tuesday, her second speech in the U.N. after five decades and three years. The last time that she made a speech in the assembly was dated back in 1957.

The queen is expected to give a subtle talk about leading this modern world that is struck with economical grief. She is also expected to give a talk about how U.N. will have to play its role amidst the economical drama.

The Buckingham Palace regards this talk as one of the most important talk the queen will have to give in recent years of speeches she had delivered.

Queen Elizabeth is head of state for the countries namely, United Kingdom, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Solomon Islands and Tuvalu.

She will also go to Ground Zero on the same date to give honor to the fallen people during the 9/11 attack by offering a wreath.

After her visit in Ground Zero, she will then head to Canada to have a trip with the Duke of Edinburgh, her husband.
