A curtailed incident of robbery in Florida happened last July 23 as a young Christian cellular phone outlet manager managed to preach about Jesus to an alleged armed man, BBC reports.
The 20 year old Nayara Goncalves spend almost five minutes trying to tell the man that what he was doing was wrong. The incident was captured via the shop’s CCTV as released by Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect remarked that he needed $ 300 to avoid being evicted and that he was also a Christian who was embarrassed with his actions. In the end, after the calm persuasion of Goncalves, as described by the Sheriff’s spokeswoman; the suspect apologized and fled with the fake gun he brought with him.
The attempted robbery dissuasion, as told by Veda Coleman-Wright of the Sheriff’s Office was the first she has witnessed in her fourteen years of service.
