When most of the people equates tablet computers with iPad, Samsung shouted it is not the case. The company released its table pc the Galaxy Tab on Thursday, claiming that the device is in no way weaker than the popular iPad.

One of the highlight of the new tablet computer is the cameras mounted in the front and back, which enable picture-taking and video chat functions.
Another highlight is the weight. “In terms of the weight, you may not think it’s a significant factor. But we think, through consumer research, that weight is very critical to enjoy the user experience,” Hong said. Its weight is 380 grams (0.8 pounds) while iPad without 3G weighs 680 grams (1.5 pounds), those with 3G weighs 730 grams (1.6 pounds).
”The Galaxy Tab will change our lives,”
“It is a true paradigm-shifter.” Samsung Mobile President J.K. Shin said.

The Galaxy Tab will be based on Android, running Adobe Systems’ Flash Player 10.1 and opening the doors to more games available. However, some points out that Apple may be able to win even its competitors are with more individual features. “Apple’s complete integration of hardware, software, operating system, and applications is a major piece of what makes the device a standout,” Rhoda Alexander, iSuppli analyst said.
