The 45 year old Canadian singer and songwriter, Shania Twain revealed more of herself as she talked about how difficult it was to cope with her problems in the past. She acknowledged that after discovering that her husband of fourteen years, Robert “Mutt” Lange was cheating on her, she was “ready to die”.
This revelation was made by Twain as she was interviewed by Ellen DeGeneres about further details concerning her new memoir, From This Moment On. In the interview, Twain revealed, “Fred just called me up. He just said, ‘I have proof if you want it and I’ve been following it now for a few weeks and I’ve got hotel bills and all kinds of details.’ For the first week after finding out about the affair, I was ready to die – to go to bed forever and never wake up or to hurt someone. I was ready to do something desperate, but in reality, there was nothing to do but to suffer through it. Fortunately, when you’re a mom, the responsibility of caring for your child can keep you going.”
Nevertheless, as everyone can see, Shania Twain has moved on and is now happily living her life to the fullest with Swiss businessman Frederic Thiebaud.
