Xie Yong won the award for “Coldest Beauty” at the naked ski party held at the Tianchi International Ski Resort in Urumqi, Xinjiang, in the western province of China.
Yong, one of hundreds of brave participants at the annual fancy dress (and undress) skiing party, wore only a snowflake for her costume. Zhang Romin, who presented himself as a half dressed Arab won the award for best costume. Both Yong and Romin won a trophy and the equivalent of £100 for their efforts.
Many people wore outrageous costumes to the event but the 22 brave souls skiing entirely, or almost naked of course attracted the most attention. Two male skiers participated in the unconventional ski party, also known as the “Naked Pig Event” wearing only their birthday suits and ski equipment.
A resort spokesman said “We have this party at the end of the skiing season each year but this has been the best yet. “
